We deliver to all major Australian cities. Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Processing and delivery time
Metropolitan orders are typically delivered within 3–5 business days. If an item is out of stock we will contact you after ordering with the lead time, and you can choose to proceed or withdraw. Vault Direct also reserves the right to cancel an order and issue a refund where we cannot supply.
Shipping rates
Delivery is quoted for your address after you order: we email you the delivery cost and the payment information before anything is dispatched, and you can cancel for a full refund if you do not want to proceed. You can also choose to pick up from our Mickleham VIC warehouse by appointment at no charge. Safes are heavy, and some destinations cost materially more to reach — where that applies we will contact you with the additional cost before dispatch, and you can cancel for a full refund if you do not want to proceed.
Remote areas: some remote locations fall outside our standard freight network. Contact us with your address before ordering and we will quote the route.
Delivery options
- 1. Professional delivery and installation (recommended)Moving, relocating or installing a safe is heavy work that needs specialised equipment. Our technicians deliver to your preferred location, offload, and install to manufacturer standard — into concrete, tiled or timber flooring, or wood, brick or plaster walls. Contact us for an installation quote.
- 2. Delivery and offloading to your doorThe safe is delivered to your front door at ground level only. Moving it to its final position and installing it is your responsibility.
- 3. Delivery to siteYou unload the safe off the delivery truck. Be ready for the weight and size, with the right people or equipment on hand to lift it down safely.
- 4. Warehouse pick-upCollect directly from the warehouse by prior arrangement. We pack and prepare the unit; transporting it safely is your responsibility.
Anchoring
A safe should normally be anchored to a suitable concrete floor or structural wall through the manufacturer’s fixing points. Proper anchoring makes removal much harder, and is often a condition of the stated cash rating or of firearm storage compliance. Tell us the floor or wall construction at the installation point and we will confirm what is required.
Damage and liability
Risk passes to the purchaser once goods leave our premises. If you receive the wrong product, or an item damaged in transit, contact us straight away with photographs and your order number and we will resolve it.
Before delivery day
Check that the safe can physically reach its destination: gate widths, lift dimensions, corridor turns, doorway clearance and the load the floor can carry. Heavy units may require reinforced flooring or specialist lifting equipment. A short conversation before dispatch avoids a failed delivery.
