This policy explains what personal information Vault Direct collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It applies to this website and to orders placed through it.
Who we are
This online store is operated by Cable Corp Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 85 157 759 441), trading as VIP Vault Direct, of Shop 4, 9–33 Errol Blvd, Mickleham VIC 3064. Our contact address for privacy matters is support@vipvaultdirect.cam.
What we collect
- Order informationYour name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, the items ordered, and the delivery or installation arrangements.
- Payment informationNo card details are collected on this website. When you pay over the phone, on pick-up or on delivery, we record the payment method, the amount and the date against your order. Card details given over the phone are used only to process that payment and are not stored.
- Account informationIf you create an account: your login email, a hashed password, your saved addresses and your order history.
- EnquiriesAnything you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Technical dataIP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and cookie identifiers used to keep your cart and session working.
Why we use it
To take and fulfil your order, arrange delivery and installation, take payment, handle returns and warranty claims, answer your enquiries, keep the site secure and working, meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, and — only if you have opted in — send you marketing email.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, and only with parties who need it to perform a service for us:
- Payment providers, to process your payment and any refund.
- Carriers, freight companies and installers, to deliver and install your order.
- Suppliers and manufacturers, where an order ships directly or a warranty claim needs to be lodged.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions.
- Government agencies or law enforcement, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function — keeping your cart contents, remembering your session, and protecting forms against abuse. Blocking them will break checkout. Any analytics or marketing cookies are optional and used only where you allow them.
Marketing
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Transactional messages about an order you have placed are not marketing and will still be sent.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for seven years, as Australian law requires. Account details are kept while your account is open. Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for two years. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you are subscribed, plus two years.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (TLS) connection, access to order data is restricted to staff who need it, and passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affecting your personal information occurs we will notify you and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email support@vipvaultdirect.cam and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the updated version here. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be notified by email where we hold your address.
