These terms apply to your use of this website and to every order placed through it. Please read them before ordering.
1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Cable Corp Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 85 157 759 441), trading as VIP Vault Direct, of Shop 4, 9–33 Errol Blvd, Mickleham VIC 3064. References to “Vault Direct”, “we” and “us” mean that company. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.
2. Age requirement
By placing an order you confirm you are over eighteen (18) years of age. Where a product is subject to licensing or storage rules — firearm safes in particular — you also confirm you hold whatever licence or authority applies to you in your state or territory.
3. Products and specifications
We take care to describe products accurately and to publish the ratings the manufacturer states. Manufacturers may alter specifications without notice, and photographs are indicative — internal dimensions, finish and fittings can vary between production runs. If a specific dimension or rating is critical to your purchase, confirm it with us in writing before ordering.
4. Orders, pricing and stock
An order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm dispatch. If an item is out of stock we will contact you with the lead time so you can proceed or withdraw, and we may cancel and refund in full where we cannot supply. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before dispatch; where a price was clearly wrong we will contact you rather than simply charge it.
5. Delivery and risk
Delivery options, timeframes and costs are set out in our shipping and delivery policy. Risk of loss or damage passes to the purchaser once the goods leave our premises. Where you choose “delivery to site”, it is your responsibility to unload the safe from the truck and to have suitable people or equipment available.
6. Installation and anchoring
Where installation is not purchased from us, correct installation and anchoring is your responsibility. A published cash rating, a fire rating and firearm storage compliance generally assume the unit is anchored to manufacturer specification. We are not responsible for loss arising from a safe that was not installed as the manufacturer requires.
7. Returns and consumer guarantees
Our returns process is set out in the refund and returns policy. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of anything written here.
8. Warranty
Products carry the manufacturer’s warranty stated on the listing. Warranty claims are handled through us or directly with the manufacturer’s service network, whichever resolves the fault faster. Warranties generally do not cover damage from misuse, forced entry, unauthorised modification or incorrect installation.
9. Payment security and fraud
Orders placed on this website are not charged online. You choose to pay over the phone, on pick-up or on delivery, and we email you the payment information; the order is held until payment is received. Card details given over the phone are used only for that payment and are not stored. Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect a transaction is fraudulent or uses a card without authority, we will decline it, and we will cooperate with the relevant police service and provide the information needed to investigate.
10. Intellectual property
The text, layout, photography and design of this site are ours or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced without written authority. Manufacturer names, model numbers and logos are the property of those manufacturers and are used here to identify the products we sell.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to replacing the product, supplying an equivalent, repairing it, or refunding the price paid. We are not liable for the value of items stored in a safe.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
